IBD Symptoms

- Feeling of urgency to have bowel movement
- Abdominal cramps and pains
- Diarrhea
IBD can impact the intestines severely. Long-term complications might include:
- Profuse intestinal bleeding caused by ulcers
- Rupture of the bowel
- Narrowing of the bowel
- Perianal disease
- Toxic megacolon (extreme, life-threatening dilation of the colon)
