Our recommendations are as follows:

Continue current treatment, including biologic medications, such as Remicade, Humira, Cimzia, Entyvio and Stellara. Continue on 6-mercaptopurine and azathioprine at your current dose.
Continue treatment with mesalamine.
Minimize steroid use if possible.
Defer elective surgery and endoscopy/colonoscopy procedures.
Contact your gastroenterologist if you have a fever and are taking immunosuppressive medications.
